Don’t forget how damaged Americans who went to Vietnam were or are. They might have been your brother, your uncle, your grandfather; but their trauma affected not only them but also their families. Trauma gets passed on generationally.
We’ve also been under stress of Trumpism for 10 years. No one in government used their powers to save us from this lunatic. So here we are. The Divided States of America. Families torn apart from one another in his name. Trump is an authoritarian and only the people can change this Fascist regime. A tall order. One I’m willing to endure. But not without a hyperaroused nervous system.
How do we fight Fascism when the democrats take money from the most evil man in the world? Oh and the Epstein files—learning of committed horrors by the most powerful ppl in the world, all while conniving and blackmailing each other for powerful favor or demise.
And we have the Technocratic billionaire broligarchs. So much of the aforementioned is connected —even as far as to the tech bros who have a desire to kill our democracy and our humanness.
Yet most of the people on this planet are good people, who work hard without real reward. They love each other genuinely. It’s positively unnerving how the ultra wealthy become
way too powerful and then become so evil. They are so few in number yet hurt billions of people—Collectively traumatizing them. We must tax them in order for the human being to lose its propensity for violence. They must repay all the wealth they stole from our treasuries if society is to truly evolve emotionally into highly educated, empathetic, critical thinkers, who are impervious to propaganda and algorithms.
Thank you, Loraca for reading. As a very good point I forgot about. Vietnam. That was definitely before me, but obviously would've waited on my parents and have been passed down to me and probably subconscious conversations that I didn't even notice.
I figured you were a youngster. lol. Yes the Vietnam war was going when I was a very little girl. It was a horrendous war and the veterans were treated like crap when they returned. Some were so absolutely broken. I witnesses a family member suffer greatly.
I have been thinking about this whole Iran attack from US/Israel and worried that the draft would return and Americans would be forced to go like the Vietnam vets were. If that were to happen. I predict so many Gen Zers protesting more vigorously than the young men did in the mid 60s to early 70s. Vietnam vets found a lot of camaraderie with the Iraq war vets because of all the lies both groups were told. Millions upon millions of Iraqis and Vietnamese that were killed were innocent civilians who were killed. Most Vietnam vets are getting old or have passed away. Those two wars caused invisible moral injuries to those troops, because of the war crimes committed by our government.
