We Are Adding an S
This was never supposed to be one voice
Hey, Angry Democrats.
We are making a brand change.
The Angry Democrat and The Angry Ohioan are now becoming The Angry Democrats and The Angry Ohioans.
That might seem small. It is just an S. But it is bigger than it looks.
Adding the S opens this up. It makes clear that this is not just me. This is not just Matt Diemer sitting here putting out his opinions. This is not one person yelling into the void and hoping somebody hears it.
This is for all Angry Democrats and Angry Ohioans who see what is happening and know something has to change.
It is for people who understand that corruption is not limited to one party. It is for people who are sick of behind-the-scenes deals, hypocrisy, gatekeeping, insider politics, and people in power acting like they are owed our votes, our donations, and our silence.
This is us saying We Democrats. We Ohioans.
Laura Rodriguez-Carbone and I have teamed up, and we are opening the door for more people to join us. We are welcoming anyone who wants to be an Angry Democrat or an Angry Ohioan.
Because this was never supposed to be just one voice. It needs to be many.
We are putting ourselves out there, and yes, that means we will take the attacks. We will take the criticism. We will be told we do not know our place. We will be told to stay in our lane. We will be told to shut up and vote blue no matter who.
We will be told not to criticize our own party. We will be told this is not the time.
But when is the time?
When the party rallies behind horrible candidates with no policies and no vision?
When the average person keeps getting screwed?
When Ohioans are taxed more while their healthcare gets worse, their benefits get whittled away, and their communities get ignored?
When our tax dollars are used for corruption, bribery scandals, billionaire corporations, and sports teams, while infrastructure crumbles and whole neighborhoods are left behind?
When jobs leave, services fail, and the same small group of people keeps making decisions on behalf of everyone else?
And then, after all of that, they still want our donations. They still want our votes. They still want our loyalty.
NO.
That is exactly why the S matters.
The S means this is bigger than one person.
The S means people are allowed to be angry.
The S means Democrats can demand better from Democrats.
The S means Ohioans can demand better from Ohio.
And yes, like the S on Superman’s chest, it stands for hope.
Not the kind of hope they sell you every election cycle and then forget about when the votes are counted.
Real hope.
The kind that comes from people finally saying enough, stepping forward, and refusing to let the same broken systems keep speaking for them.
The Angry Democrats.
The Angry Ohioans.
That S is important because it reflects all of us.
