Former congressional candidates Laura Rodriguez Carbone and Matt Diemer are merging The Whisper Campaign and The Angry Democrat to build a stronger, sharper, more accountable independent Democratic media platform.
This is not a corporate merger. It is a mission decision.
The Angry Democrat exists to hold the Democratic Party accountable to the people who built it: the voters, organizers, volunteers, donors, working people, and communities who still believe this party can become better.
We believe the Democratic Party remains the last major political barrier between our democracy and authoritarianism. That is exactly why it must be held to a higher standard.
The party cannot simply campaign on democracy, transparency, fairness, anti-corruption, and working-class representation. It has to live by those values.
That is what The Angry Democrat is here to measure.
Together, we will produce investigative reporting, data analysis, reform-focused tools, political commentary, and with an accountability-driven lens, focused on one central purpose: pushing the Democratic Party to answer to its people, not its insiders.
Our principles are simple:

We will not protect the powerful to preserve relationships.
We will not soften the truth because it makes consultants, donors, elected officials, or party leaders uncomfortable.
